Homework in Year 4
Homework is always sent home on a Friday and should be completed by Thursday of the following week. For ease, all homework is recorded in the school planner.
Each week, children in Year 4 are expected to read their school reading book a minimum of three times. This reading should be recorded in the school planner.
In addition to reading, Year 4 children also have some maths challenges stuck into their planners – these are questions base don themes that the children have already seen and studied earlier in the week.
Children in Year 4 also have spellings – there are spaces in the planner to practise the spellings and write some of the spellings in sentences.
Below is a copy of the Spelling Overviews for Year 4. (These were introduced for Term 4, 2023).
